Many of us have logged onto www.way2sms.com when we could not send text messages from our phone. This consumer messaging portal, which is a part of Way2Online Interactive India in Hyderabad, founded by Raju Vanapala has crossed over 40 million users. They have now come up with an online learning platform that will provide students, job seekers and professionals live sessions on software and programming.
These live online sessions will also be recorded for future reference. Students can choose their batch timing or change batches within seven days of induction. “Learnsocial was started with the aim of giving students a different learning experience and provide a learning portal with easy access at all times,” says Raju.
“What is unique in Learnsocial is that it is instructor-led and students can access videos and lectures even when offline,” says Raju. Some courses available on Learnsocial are Big Data, Hadoop (an open source software program tool) Development, PHP, MYSQL with AJAX, Android Development, Data Analysis with R (programming language), HTML5 with CSS3 (style sheet language) and Javascript, NextGenRobotics, Mongo DB (applications) and Ethical Hacking. They offer 16 courses at present and will introduce eight-10 courses in the months to come. Fee structure ranges between `5,000-20,000.
He also adds that videos are not enough to master a subject, “You need an outcome-based learning module. With an instructor who is available during all the sessions, students will be able to ask him/her questions.” The instructors can also share their desktop screen (students will be able to view the instructor’s screen while he/she uses the screen to explain different modules) with the learners and they can interact through chat or audio communication. Students will also do assignments and assessment modules and work on projects and case studies. On completion of the course and all the project work, students will receive a certificate from Learnsocial after they pass the respective online exams. Learnsocial ties up with professors and industry experts who have a lot of experience. They share insights and real-life experiences, says Raju.
