The Department of Management Studies of Tagore Engineering College, Chennai, started its journey in 2002 to inculcate the managerial skill, through theoretical and practical exposure on different areas of business. Every year the department organises various workshops and guest lectures, conferences and summer and main projects. This year they initiated a new approach to give practical exposure on how to start up a business through ‘Business Skill Workshop’ from August 25 to 28. The students have invested money, created ideas and built their own strategies to start a business and to run it. The workshop was an eye opener to the students, where they learnt Operations Management, Human resource Management and Marketing Management among other topics through practical learning.
