The New Delhi-based institute offers a PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations. The course was started in 1981. Some subjects you will be studying in this 10-month course include Communication Theory and Research, Marketing, Creativity and Campaign Planning, Production Techniques and Methods and Oral and Visual Communication.

■ Jagran Institute of Management and Mass Communication

Based in Noida, the institute offers a one-year PG Diploma in Mass Communication specialising in Advertising and Public Relations. They also have a six-month Certificate course in Mass Communication with the same choice of specialisation. The fee for the PG Diploma is `30,000 and for the certificate programme is `20,000.

■ Asian Academy of Film and Television

The academy offers a Master’s of Communication course on Advertising and Brand Management. You need to have a graduate degree from any discipline to apply for this course and pass the aptitude test and personal interview to secure a seat. Syllabus includes Mass Communication Theories, Advertising Strategy, Account Planning and Production, Entertainment Media Advertising and Marketing, Strategic Brand Communication and Consumer Behaviour.
