Five Telugu News Channels Booked for Violating Code of Conduct

Five Telugu news channels were booked today for violating the model code of conduct, police said here.

The Central Crime Station - a wing of Hyderabad Police registered the case against the five news channels under relevant sections of the Representation of the People Act, after the channels allegedly broadcast campaign-related news after conclusion of the campaign time of 6 PM, a senior police officer said.

Further investigation was on.
