Anurag Thakur Challenges Virbhadra for Debate on Achievements

BJP candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat Anurag Thakur today challenged Chief minister Virbhadra Singh for an open debate on performance and achievements as members of Parliament.

"I challenge the chief minister for an open debate to be telecast live on his performance as a member of Parliament and also performance of his wife, sitting MP from Mandi, in comparison with my performance. I give him the liberty to choose a place and time anywhere in Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency," Thakur said.

"Virbhadra Singh remained Lok Sabha member for 16 years and also served as Cabinet minister, deputy minister and minister of state in Union cabinet while his wife was MP for six years but their record of achievements is blank," he added.

Thakur said on the other hand, he has received several awards for his work as a parliamentarian.

Polling for all 4 Lok Sabha seats in the state is scheduled for May 7.
