WARANGAL: Ever since the People’s Front decided to filed TDP candidate Revuri Prakash Reddy, the Warangal West has become the most talked about the constituency. According to political observers, with TRS projecting TDP as an anti-Telangana party, how the people would respond to Prakash Reddy’s candidature will decide who will be elected from the constituency in December 7 elections. Though a large section of people are not ready to accept TRS branding TDP as an anti-Telangana party, it could still play a decisive role as far as slum voters are considered.

Though TRS candidate D Vinay Bhaskar is sounding confident of winning the seat, the situation on the ground is different. There appears to be a lot of disappointment among middle-class voters in the constituency as they feel that Vinay

Bhaskar had not been up to the mark and failed to develop the area during TRS’ rule. People seem to be angered by bad road conditions, poor drainage system and equally poor sanitation in the constituency.
Vinay Bhaskar, it looks like, is trying to rely on the goodwill of the people who benefited from government schemes as well as the slum dwellers for his victory. This is confirmed by his visits to houses of beneficiaries of these schemes, who said to have assured of him of their support.

TDP’s Prakash Reddy, on the other hand, has been on the move right from the day his candidature was announced. His campaigning has been strengthened by the support he has been receiving from District Congree Committee president Naini Rajender Reddy, who withdrew his nomination in favour of Prakash Reddy under an agreement among People’s Front partners.

Earlier, the Warangal West was considered the TRS stronghold. But the formation of People’s Front has changed the scenario. Now both Vinay and Prakash have equal chances of winning.
