Logo of Drona, the Nitin and Priyamani starrer was unveiled by director SS Rajamouli at a function at State Gallery of Fine Arts in the City on Saturday evening.
Clarifying that this film is no way compared to Hindi flick Drona, the film director Kumar, a protégé of Rajamouli, termed it a mix of action and sentiment.
For director Rajamouli it was a mixed bag of emotions, on one hand he is happy that his disciple is directing a film on the other hand he would not be working with him.
“Kumar is a voracious reader. He used to contribute a lot to our story discussions as he has good general knowledge.
His determination and dedication will take him places,’’ said Rajamouli wishing him a good luck.
“Except a couple of songs, shooting for the film has been completed.
I got to observe Kumar while working for Sye.
He has picked up good qualities from his guru Rajamouli,’’ said Nitin.
The film has music scored by Anup Rubens.
According to DS Rao, who is producing the film under Sai Krishna Productions banner, its music is going to be released in the last week of November.
Mukesh Rishi, Baba Anthony, Rakhi Sawant, Ali and Sunil are part of the cast. The film is expected to be released in January.
