LONDON: Musician Robbie Williams has praised Ed Sheeran, saying just like the Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks is the nicest man in Hollywood, the young singer is the nicest guy in the pop industry.

The 42-year-old songwriter, who collaborated with Sheeran, 25, on new song "Pretty Woman" for his upcoming album "Heavy Entertainment Show", lauded the pop star for being a really "good person", reported Female First.

"He's like the Tom Hanks of music. If you were going to talk about an actor who's the nicest actor on the planet, everybody knows it's Tom Hanks.

"And I think everybody knows that Ed Sheeran is a good person. He's the most unaffected pop star that's having incredible success. There should be a study on him to see how he's doing it," Williams said.
