WASHINGTON D.C.: Sister of 'Black Panther' from the Marvel universe is all set to get her own comic book series.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Entertainment is preparing to launch a new comic book series revolving around T'Challa's (Black Panther) sister, Shuri.

The new series, which will be called 'Shuri', will be written by Nnedi Okorafor of digital comic series 'Black Panther: Long Live the King' fame.

"[Shuri is] an African young woman of genius level intelligence who is obsessed with technology and has travelled spiritually so far into the past that she's seen Wakanda before it was Wakanda. The Ancestors call her Ancient Future. And she's super ambitious. What do I love about her? Alllll that and more," Hollywood reporter quoted Okorafor, as saying.

The series will bring in American author Ta-Nehisi Coates' 'Black Panther comic book series, where T'Challa moves to space to explore the Intergalactic Empire of the fictional African nation Wakanda.

In the series, Shuri will be seen stepping in the shoes of the monarch.

The series is all set to get launched in October.
