NEW DELHI: Actor Arshad Warsi, who will next be seen in the upcoming film ‘The Legend of Michael Mishra’, recently lashed out on social media for being misquoted and clarified that he did not confirm Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt as the leading ladies in the fourth instalment of the 'Golmaal' franchise.

On being asked about it, Arshad, 48, was earlier quoted by DNA, as saying, “Yes, it’s true. Either of the two will be playing the lead in Golmaal 4. I have heard the discussions and it’s almost certain that it will be Alia or Deepika this time.”

The actor, however, took to his Twitter handle and said that his statement was simply misquoted. He tweeted, “I did not confirm any leading lady for Golmaal 4. Media gave me @aliaa08  & @deepikapadukone name and I said could be... WTF.”

On a related note, the fourth instalment titled as ‘Golmaal Again’ would reunite Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty after five-long years.

The film, which also stars Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor, is likely to go on floors in December this year. (ANI)
