MUMBAI: The biopic on India's limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" has now been made tax-free in Maharashtra.

With Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role, the film shows the journey of the Indian batsman-wicketkeeper.

The state government of Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh had made the movie tax-free a few days back.

"We are humbled and thankful to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his team for making Mahi's biopic tax-free in the state. Mahi's journey is inspirational and through this more people will get to see the movie and see the life of this amazing sportsman," Arun Pandey, producer, said in a statement here.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Pandey (Inspired Entertainment), the film released on September 30. According to producers, the film has garnered Rs 88.63 crore in six days.
