ED summons Aditya Chopra for alleged non-payment of royalty

The law states that lyricists and composers are supposed to receive 50 per cent of the royalties earned by music companies, which have not been appropriately given.

According to Asian Age, the Chairman of Yash Raj films, Aditya Chopra has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate to investigate a royalty non payment scam.

The vice-president of Sony Music India, Shridhar Subramanium and CEO of Universal Music, Devraj Sanyal, have also been summoned.

The Enforcement Dictorate has already interrogated T-series' Bhushan Kumar and Saregama's Vikram Mehra. The pending amounts are being calculated.
