Manas, who claims to have worked for 1,000 documentaries in 10 years, has acted as hero a and also handled the megaphone for Sandalwood Guru. If everything goes as per plan, the film Sandalwood Guru is expected to hit the silver screen next month.
‘’I thought it is prudent to try my luck in Sandalwood after successfully directing 1,000 documentaries, including ad films and TV programmes,’’ said Manas.
According to Manas, the film Sandalwood Guru is aimed at young adults who fail to differentiate between love and infatuation.
‘’I want to convey the young adults that life is more than love and one should not forget his or her responsibility towards parents,’’ said Manas.
Recently, the Regional Censor Board gave a ‘U’ certificate without suggesting any cuts. ‘’The Censor Board members have appreciated my efforts to make this film.
They said that it has a message to youth who are wasting their precious time by indulging in unnecessary activities,’’ said Manas.
He says the duration of Sandalwood Guru, including a 15 minute English version, is 2.20 hours. ‘’It is a different and fantasy movie. I know that every director claims that his film is different from other directors’ films. But, the movie is truly different,’’ he claims.
