BANGALORE: Prashanth Raj, who made his debut as a director with the film 'Love Guru', is all set to handle the megaphone for his third film 'Pataaki'. After the stupendous success of Love Guru at the box office, Raj tried to repeat the magic with his next movie 'Gaana Bajaana' and signed the same technicians and star cast for the movie.

Though the audio of 'Gaana Bajaana' proved to be a huge hit, the movie crashed at the box office beyond redemption. Tarun, Radhika Pandit and Dileep played the lead roles in both the movies.

Now, Raj is busy preparing the script for his third movie 'Pataaki'. “It will be a complete commercial flick and will have all the elements that are necessary to provide maximum entertainment to the audience,” says Raj.

The movie Pataaki will be released in two languages — Kannada and Telugu. Raj will be introduced to the Telugu audience with this movie. “I am in talks with Siddhartha and Raja for the lead role in this movie. Nothing has been finalised yet,” says Raj.

For the role of the heroine, the director is thinking about roping in Parvathi Milton or Samantha, who played the lead role in the Telugu movieYe maaya chesaave. “I have already explained the script to Parvathi and Samantha. One of them will be selected for the role,” explains Raj.

Pataki’s shooting is expected to take place in Sri Lanka for a few days. “We have selected an island in Sri Lanka for the ten-day shoot that will commence from the last week of January,” says the director.

Raj says that the production cost of the movie would be `2 crore. Technicians, who worked for Raj's previous movies, Love Guru and Gaana Bajaana, are expected to work for Pataaki as well.

“I want to engage same more technicians. I am planning to select those character artistes who are familiar with the Kannada and Telugu cine buffs,” he said.
