Tony brings back Preeti to Kannada

Preeti Jhangiani is back in the limelight, as she was in Bangalore to shoot for Srinagar Kitty’s latest project Tony.

Bollywood actress Preeti Jhangiani has gained entry into Srinagar Kitty’s latest project Tony. “I am doing a guest appearance role in this Kannada film,” says Preeti. The actress of Mohabbatein fame, has come back to showbiz as her baby, Jai Veer is now a year old. “I was busy with family responsibilities for a while. Now I’m back on my feet with four projects lined up,” she says.

She is getting back to Kannada, after Omkara (2004).”After Omkara, nothing big really came from Kannada industry. But I did not stay away from other languages and was pretty much busy with other projects” says Preeti, who is playing the CEO of a company in the suspense thriller film, Tony. “I play a very strong woman of today and this is something nobody has asked me to play before. I was usually considered to play soft roles and this character is kind of a departure from my previous films,” she adds.

So, the actress otherwise is on the upswing with one Bengali and two  Hindi films in her kitty. “Currently, my Hindi film, Dekho Ye Hai Mumbai Real Life is ready for release. I have a couple of days of shooting left for the Bengali film and I will continue working on my other Hindi film, Kaash Tum Hote,” she explains.

She is back to showbiz and has made sure that she lost oodles of weight before hitting the big screen. “I never left the industry and nobody stopped me from doing what I like. My husband, Parvin Dabbas, has always supported me as he is also a part of the industry as a producer, director and an actor. So, it has never been an issue to him. Right now, I miss my son, during hectic shooting schedules. But, I have my mother to take care of him and Jai is comfortable with her,” she says.

Preeti was always in love with the garden city. “Bangalore is always nice and a cool city. In terms of work, nothing has changed really. The technicians are really quick as always. No one is lazy here,” she signs off.
