She rose to fame by playing Chetan’s love interest in Aa Dinagalu. Archana is back with another interesting film that will also star Puneeth Rajkumar, Mohanlal and Bhavana. The yet-to-be titled project will start shooting from May 3 onwards. Interestingly, Archana is paired opposite Mohanlal while Bhavana will be working for the third time with Puneeth.

“I am excited but at the same time I wonder why I took so long to do a movie in Kannada. I have been busy doing Telugu films. Moreover, I didn’t get to listen to a script that matched Aa Dinagalu,” said Archana who took a break from Sandalwood for seven years.

Though Archana admitted that the presence of Puneeth and Mohanlal will add a lot of value to the film, she also feels that it will help aid the hype and viewership. “What ever little I did hear about this new film, I realised that it is completely subject oriented and has a strong message,” said the actress.

Aa Dinagalu definitely got her a lot of appreciation though it did not help her fetch more movies. “Actually, I was expecting a few awards for the film which did not come through. But I still remain at large in the hearts of Kannadigas.

So, I had no second thoughts about selecting the film,” said Archana who also claimed that she doesn’t prefer rushing into projects. “I wait for things to come and fall on my lap. I take my own time,” she said.
