Actor Sharan wants to forget the controversies that surrounded his film Adhyaksha and is now looking forward to make people laugh. Coincidently, Adhyaksha is releasing on Independence Day.

"People will have all the freedom to laugh with Adhyaksha. There is no need of taking on tensions or stress to watch my film," he says.

Adhyaksha brings back the combination of director Nanda Kishore and Sharan, who previously gave a hit film Victory.

"Our combination was the talk of the town when Victory released. It is always difficult to do a comical film. I appreciate  Kishore for his bold attempt in choosing comedy scripts at the initial stage of his career. It is a big advantage that Kishore is directing this film, as he is a good actor. Coming from a family of good artistes, it is in his genes and that allowed him to cultivate the art of making good comedy films. Though this film falls in the same commercial genre as Victory, the only similarity is comedy. The way the plot has been presented, with narration and geographically, makes a big difference in this film," he explains.

Sharan is very excited to be seen as a village boy in Adhyaksha. "People should watch the film because it is a story with a village back drop with no urban touch. Watching this film is like visiting a village,"  he says, adding, "Adhyaksha has nothing to do with politics or a village head or a party president. Here, the hero acts as a leader among his own friends and forms a youth forum, where there is a president and a vice president. The story revolves around so many characters. Even the heroine in the film has some space to act."

Adhyaksha is a remake of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam but according to Sharan a remake requires the same amount of work and effort as an original.

"Whether it is a remake or a straight subject, you will know the story. Only advantage in a remake is that you have the visuals already in front of you. Doing a remake doesn't mean, that you just cut, copy and paste, especially not in the films, I am part off. There will be many changes in terms of screenplay, characterisation and nativity," he says.

Sharan further explains, "Adhyaksha is not a mirror image of the original. We have brought in local flavour in terms of mannerisms and my characterisation. Unlike the Tamil hero, Sivakarthikeyan, I am a comedian turned hero. So the director can enhance the comedy keeping my previous works in mind," he says.

Sharan never gets tired of making people laugh and opines that laughter never gets monotonous.

"Content can get boring after sometime, but not laughing. Making people laugh has become my primary job. But to make it different every time is my priority," he says.
