Rajpal Yadav will Challenge Ragini in Amma

As director Faisal Saif gets ready to go on floors with Amma, the film that stars Ragini Dwivedi, he is introducing another popular face to the film. Bollywood comedian Rajpal Yadav will play the antagonist in the movie.

“Rajpal will add punch to the film with his negative shades,” says Faisal, who goes on to explain why he chose him for the role. “People have never seen Rajpal play the antagonist. He is a wonderful person and I think his personality will make his character very interesting. I have taken it up as a challenge to present Rajpal in a brand new avatar.”

According to Faisal, the only person who can stand up to Amma (Ragini Dwivedi) in the film is Rajpal. “He is the best villain I could come up with. The actor who is not so tall will scare the hell out of everyone with his act,” he says.

Rajpal was apparently excited when Faisal expressed his desire to work with him. “The actor was surprised that somebody wanted to experiment with his skills. As someone who only gets to play the comedian, he was glad to venture into something different,” reveals Faisal and further adds, “The film will be made in more than one language. We wish to get a larger audience.”

The first schedule of Amma will start on August 22 in Bangalore.
