Shreya-Goshal

Abhinetri struck the right chord with the audience with producer and actress Pooja Gandhi bringing Shreya Ghoshal to the audio launch of the film. The singer, who is no stranger to Sandalwood, has crooned five songs for Abhinetri.

The crowd at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall waited in excitement to see Shreya Ghoshal and cheered and whistled when she sang a few lines from a couple of songs.

“I am singing in Kannada because of my guruji Mano Murthy. I started with Mungaru Male and today I am glad to have sung some beautiful songs in Sandalwood. Abhinetri will remain special to me because I have sung most of the songs in the movie with wonderful lyrics by Jayant Kaikini. Thank you all for accepting me into the industry,” Shreya said.

The two-hour-long event also featured drama, dance and a fashion show. Senior artistes of the industry including Pranaya Raja Srinath, K S L Swamy, director Bhagwan, Shanthamma, R T Ramadevi and B V Radha were present, some of whom  were honoured on the occasion. Abhinetri, directed by Satish Pradhan, is said to be a tribute to the actresses of the yesteryears. Apart from Pooja, who is also directing and producing the flick ,  Abhinetri stars Atul Kulkarni and Makrand Deshpande.
