I Got a Tattoo for Mom and Fans: Duniya Vijay

The actor, still fresh from the pain of the tattoo, went ahead with the second schedule of the film.

Duniya Vijay's new tattoo has been gaining a lot of attention. The actor got the Kannada words 'Avva' (mother) and 'Abhimani' (fan) inked.

Tattoo artist Darshan spent two hours on it.

The crew of his upcoming film, Maasti Gudi, and his children were present while Vijay was getting the tattoo done. The actor, still fresh from the pain of the tattoo, went ahead with the second schedule of the film.

"I have fever, but I didn't want to postpone the shoot. I managed to complete it," Vijay told City Express.

Explaining the idea that sparked the tattoo, the actor said, "Of late, many of my fans have been getting my face tattooed. They go through pain to get it inked. So when I was wondering how to reciprocate to their love, the idea struck me.

He says this is his way of honouring his fans. "This is a gesture of my love in return for theirs, something I will always treasure. Like my mother, they have always showered me with a lot of love. So for me, both are equally important. That's what the tattoo indicates," he says.
