Ramya Nambeesan Bags Second Sandalwood Film

The actress is paired opposite Sharan in K Madesh’s directorial, Raj-Vishnu

Post her Sandalood debut alongside Ganesh in Style King, Ramya Nambeesan bags her second Kannada film opposite Sharan.

Raj-Vishnu, directed by K Madesh, is made under Ramu Productions. The director confirms the news to City Express: “After much thought, we have chosen Ramya Nambeesan because she fits the bill.”

Ramya is excited. “It is a good sign from the industry. And getting a project before the release of my first Kannada film is doubly special,” says the actress, who is glad to play a meaty role in the film.

She is certain she will work with a ‘good team’. “Before signing the film, I went through the profiles of the actors, producer and director. I feel blessed,” she adds.

Meanwhile, her latest Tamil film Sethupathi has completed 50 days, and is doing well. “I am also getting good offers from Kollywood, for which I am yet to sign on the dotted line,” she says.

Considering the soul-stirring story of the Tamil film, Rajini Murugan on which Raj-Vishnu is based on, the makers have roped in writer-director, Janardhan Maharshi to develop the story for the Kannada audience.

Senior actor Ambareesh will play grandfather to Sharan. Along with the hit combination of Sharan-Chikkanna again, Ravi Shankar and Sadhu Kokila are among others in the star cast.

Arjun Janya has been roped in as music director, and the makers are planning to start shooting before the end of this month.
