Rakshit Goes Back to College in a Contessa

The actor has lost 10 kilos for his film Kirik Party and will be seen roaming around in a modified car which has a prime role in the film.

Rakshit Shetty does not like to keep his work simple, even though he ironically embraced fame with Simple Agi Ondh Love Story. He is an actor who graduated to direction as soon as he got the big break and unlike many, stunned the audience by his intense filmmaking skills with Ulidavaru Kandanthe.

The actor is now preparing for his upcoming film Kirik Party and he seems to promise not to shed any of his filmmaking tact, instead opting to tune his body by shedding 10 kilograms, a requisite for his role in the film.

Made under his home banner Paramvah Studios, the actor reveals that the film will see him in two shades and the first look will require him to attend college. “I start shooting from April 21 and I need to look young since I will be going to college,” he says and adds that he chose GM (General Motors) diet to lose weight quickly. “It took regular seven days of rigorous work out,” he states. The actor has also worked on his hairdo as an experiment.

The team is currently in Hassan hunting for locations and they have zeroed in on a college which fits the backdrop of their story. “Though the film is made with a present perspective, we didn’t want to go in for a posh look. It is because we want different generations to connect to our film, which makes it necessary that the aura is not modern. That’s why we chose Malnad. We will be shooting there for about 30 days, which will cover our first and second schedule,” the actor reveals.

Kirk Party will introduce two heroines, Rashmika Mandanna and Samyuktha Hegde, along with 20 new faces. The film directed by Rishab Shetty will also feature a Contessa car, which according to Rakshit will be the second hero in the film. “We purchased a Contessa and altered it for Kirik Party,” says the actor

As for the technicians, the actor has retained the entire team of  Ulidavaru Kandanthe.
