Rachita Ram’s ambition has always outstripped her achievements. It is no wonder then that the actress, who clinched some of the biggest banner films of Sandalwood and acted opposite some of the top league actors, has built a strong foundation for herself.
Reportedly, her ambition has got loftier, having bagged another big project, Khadar with Shivarajkumar, a film produced by KA Suresh. This is the first time, she will be paired opposite the star, who is currently running high on the success of Shivalinga.
According to sources, all formalities have been completed and it is just a matter of time before the makers make an official announcement.
The actress, who started her career with Darshan's Bulbul followed by Dil Rangeela and Ambareesha has also worked in Ranna starring Sudeep and Rathaavara with Sriimurali. Her latest film was with Puneeth Rajkumar in Chakravyuha.
Having paired with Shivarajkumar, this will be another fresh combination to look out. “She has bagged yet another excellent role in Khadar, which will only raise the bar for the actress,” our sources state.
Kumar S Raj, who has worked as an assistant director to Govindaya Namaha and other films will be debuting as a feature film director with Khadar. The story and screenplay of his directorial debut is written by him.
The makers have planned to release the theme music of Khadar on June 19, at a grand event organised to celebrate the success of Shivalinga, which is crossed 100 successful days. Telugu star Balakrishna and Ambareesh will be present at the event along with many other stars from the southern industries.
Meanwhile, Rachita is busy shooting for Bharjari and waiting for the release of Pushpaka Vimana.
