Sandalwood will soon witness the coming together of two trendsetting minds.
Rakshit Shetty, who has led by example, being part of pathbreaking movies like Simple Agi Ondh Love Story, Ulidavaru Kandante, Ricky and the recent Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, will be associating with H K Prakash, producer of the famed Rangitaranga, which paved the way for a new trend of filmmaking in Kannada cinema. The film that got a tremendous response across the globe is still running at one of the city's multiplexes.
Now the two will join hands for a film which will also mark the debut of Sachin, an editor, as director. He had previously worked in Ulidavara Kandante directed by Rakshit Shetty.
This will be his first independent project as a director.
“With the preparation work going on, the makers are likely to make an official announcement any time soon,” says our source.
The film will also have music by Charan Raj and cinematography Manohar Joshi. “With Rangitaranga taking Kannada cinema to another level, Prakash is keen to repeat the success and is careful about his next project,” our source state.
This yet-to-be-titled film made under Sridevi Entertainers will likely go on the floors after Rakshit completes his current project Kirik Party directed by Rishab Shetty.
