Sandeep Janardan, once a popular hair stylist, was the man behind Upendra’s look in Super. But it is his passion for filmmaking that has brought him under Uppi’s wings.
After having assisted the actor in directing films such as Super, God Father, Uppi 2 and Topi Wala, Sandeep now turns an independant feature film director with Face 2 Face. He has even written the story and screenplay for the movie. “My directorial debut will be psychological thriller, which comes with a tight screenplay,” he says.
The director who has managed to bring in experienced technicians such as director Manju Mandavya to write the dialogues and Sree Crazy Minds to the edit desk has roped in mostly fresh faces to act in his film. “Rohit Bhanuprakash who played an antagonist in Drishya plays the lead in Face 2 Face with Divya Uruduga and Purvi Joshi featuring as the female leads,” he tells City Express.
Sandeep is also turning producer for Face 2 Face. “If everything had gone well, I should have by now started on two projects. Unfortunately, both had to be dropped mid-way,” he says.
“I realised that there is little point in running behind producers with the script. So I decided on producing my project, I have planned it within my budget,” he says.
To bring a bring freshness to the movie’s music, Sandeep has roped in a band Ek Khawwab from Mumbai. Vishwajit Rao will mark his debut as the cinematographer in this film.
