Sunil’s narration floored me: Dhansika

Dhansika says that it was Udhgarsha’s script that caught her attention. She starts shoot  from May 8 in Bengaluru.

With Sunil Kumar Desai’s thriller, yet another regional actor sets foot in Sandalwood. Dhansika says that it was Udhgarsha’s script that caught her attention. She starts shoot  from May 8 in Bengaluru.

“Sunil’s narration is so good that he keep the suspense. There are a lot of surprises in the story, which will be known once I am on the sets. Through his story telling, I realised that he is very good with the screenplay and that is one of the reasons I signed this project. Moreover, the thriller element has me doing some action too,” Danshika tells City Express.

The actress says that she doesn’t select movies based on the director’s previous works or fame and mostly believes in the subject that is brought to her.

“I really trust the director who is coming to me like he believes that I can do this character, and that really keeps me going. Usually I kind of get that feeling and then I go ahead and sign, which has been the case with all my films,” she said

Dhansika has proved her mettle in Kabali. “I want to learn everything and it will not start from martial arts alone. I have an advantage because of my personality. I have a soft side and can also a courageous side and this has helped me to be versatile,” she added.

Dhansika is shooting for a Tamil and Telugu bilingual film. She however, can’t stop talking about her film with director Bejoy Nambiar where she is featured opposite Dulquer Salmaan.

“I play a blind contemporary dancer. Even though I have completed the shoot, the character has been affecting my normal life and has been haunting me. I am sure it will have the same impact on the audience also,” she says.
