H aving bagged her first Tamil film, Samyuktha Hegde is on cloud nine. The actress says that she cannot reveal much about the Kollywood debut but, as per our sources, it is a dream project for Samyuktha who gets to work with none other than Prabhudeva in a film directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

However, she had to face flak online and offline because the project clashed with her two Kannada projects, which she had signed after Roadies.

The actress has opted out of actor Anish’s debut production Vasu... Naanu Pucca Commercial while she faced a hiccup when dates for the Tamil movie clashed with Kaalej Kumar directed by Santhosh, which is currently on floors. The matter even went to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerces office. Samyuktha has sorted out the issue with the filmmakers and will be joining the shoot from today.

Soon after the issue came to fore, the actress was trolled on social media and she posted on Facebook: “Kannada is my mother tongue and I respect it immensely, my first preference is always Kannada. Before judging please know the truth and understand the situation. Everything you see and listen about on TV isn’t true.”

Santhosh, in a conversation with City Express, says, “We had done the photoshoot with the cast of the film, the shooting had begun and Samyuktha was joining us from today.

She then informed us about her new Tamil project and how she has to accomodate a chunk of dates from June, which was initially given to us... we could not spare those days for her because it would’ve given us trouble with dates of other artistes such as Ravi Shankar, Shruthi and Vikky. I explained this to Samyuktha and she  understood our situation.”

Meanwhile, the Kirik Party heroine clarifies her stand, telling CE, “There was a mess up with the dates and I will be sorting them out. I will join Kaalej Kumar sets from today. As for the Tamil project, I don’t want to talk about it at this moment.”
