Upendra is a filmmaker who makes every effort to ensure that his projects turn out well. With his 50th film, he is putting in double the work.

As an actor Uppi currently has two projects - Uppi Rupee, which is done with its first schedule, and
Nagarjuna, which is set to go on floors from mid May. But what’s keeping the actor-director busy this summer is work on the script for his 50th film, which he has decided to direct.

While the preparation for the project, to be launched on Upendra’ birthday, is on full swing, the filmmaker himself has gone ‘underground’ to work on the story.

Apparently, Uppi has shifted out of this busy city, along with producer Sriram, who has been managing the actor’s works. They have set up a temporary camp at Chikamagalur where Uppi has placed a working storyboard.

Sriram says, “Uppi has been working on the script for a while now and do not want to disclose where from. We want to stay away from all the hustle and bustle meanwhile.

We should be here for another week or so, before we get back to Bengaluru, where he will need to start shoot for Nagarjuna.”

Upendra, we hear, is now forming the storyline and should have a clear picture of it in a month-and-a-half. Meanwhile, audio lauch of Uppi Matte Hutti Ba - Inti Prema has been planned for the end of May. The film is now in the post-production stage and may be released in June.
