Samhaara to see a negative side of Hariprriya?

The team behind Samhaara, a project launched in May, has completed their first schedule that was shot in Mangaluru over a fortnight. And if we go by the character sketches assigned to Chiranjeevi Sarja, Hariprriya, Kavya Shetty and Chikkanna in Guru Deshpande’s directorial, we could guess that the filmmakers have drawn inspiration from the Tamil flick Ade Kangal directed by Rohin Venkatesan, released early this year.

Though the filmmakers have maintained a  suspenseful silence about this thriller woven around a romantic story, a source spills the beans. We hear that Samhaara will see Chiranjeevi playing a blind man, Kavya Shetty a journalist and Chikkanna a cop. But what gets more interesting is Hariprriya’s character.
Samhaara will have the actress doing a role that has negative shades, for the first time. We were told that one of the reasons Hariprriya accepted the project was the role she was offered.

Going by the track record of the actress after Uggram, Hariprriya has been picky about the roles. After playing unique characters in Ricky and Neerdose, the actress has been thrown another challenge in this film.  We now need to know how well Guru Deshpande will sketch out the role for this actress and the audience’s reaction to it. The film produced by A Venkatesh and R Sundara Kamaraj has music by Ravi Basrur and camerawork by Jagadish Wali.
