Model Srinidhi Ramesh Shetty, who has been busy walking ramps and posing for shutterbugs, is equally excited to be on the sets of her debut project KGF. The film directed by Prashanth Neel has the newcomer paired opposite Yash in the magnum opus.

As the film’s schedule draws to a close, which will be wrapped up by May, Srinidhi plans to take up her second film for which she will start looking at new scripts and begin her round of discussions with various directors.

“Since KGF has been my priority, into which I have put my heart and soul, I didn’t think of another project or have discussions about it. Now that shooting for the first part will be done by May, and post-production will take sometime, I can start considering other projects,” says Srindhi.

She had signed KGF in October 2016, but has never once given thought to the time consumed by this project. “I feel lucky to have been part of it and still wonder how it fell into my lap. This is my first film and  I don’t mind giving all my time for the director’s vision. I am just too anxious to see that all goes well for KGF,” she says.

Language will never be a barrier for her, says the young actor. “The team behind KGF is releasing it in five different languages. Secondly, I am okay to work in any industry, provided I find a director like Prashanth Neel, a script like KGF’s and an actor like Yash,” says the newcomer, adding, “This project, my very first, has only raised my expectations and I look forward to working with a team like this”.

She does not want to share much about the role but is happy to talk about the pleasant work atmosphere on the sets. “Prashanth Neel is particular that the shot is taken the way he has visualised it and he makes sure that he gets it from you. Irrespective of your experience, he demands the same from everybody. And I was starting from zero in acting, this project has been a learning experience,” she says.

“When I see Yash sir’s acting and his dedication, I see how I am starting from scratch. There is a lot to learn,” says this model-turned-actress in her fluent Kannada. “I am a Mangaluru hudugi, and I like speaking in my language,” she says.
