Rashmika Mandanna seems to be enjoying her roller coaster ride of her film career. The Kirik Party star, who is back in the city after shooting for her upcoming Telugu flick with Vijay Devarakonda, will be joining the sets of her next Kannada flick, Yajamana, from April 6. The heroine, who has won many hearts not just in the Kannada industry, but also in Tollywood, Rashmika, turns 22 today. While she’s keeping the plans simple by spending time with her fans, family and friends, the Saanvi girl will take time out to donate blood too.

Speaking with City Express, she says she is happy to have made some good decisions last year. “One wrong move would have put everything at stake. At 21, I was able to take a stand for myself. As a human being, I have grown. I also feel that I am six to seven years older than my actual age because of the decisions I have been making,” she says.

It also a time to make resolutions, and Rashmika has a list. “It’s for mental peace - professionally and otherwise. I don’t want to stress too much. There is too much pressure, and I don’t want it to take a toll on my health. God’s been very kind. I want to just go with the flow.”

On her birthday, Rashmika has a message for her fans, who have only increased in the last few years. “I am overwhelmed with the love showered on me by each one of my fans. I would want to tell them that I have seen every tweet and post from them. But with all that goes on set, I find it hard to reply. Fans give me so much courage, and they are by my side for every decision I make. I am never alone in anything I do. Of course, there are times I might disappoint them and go against their wishes, but I know they wish me well. Without them, I am nothing. It was them who created Rashmika Mandanna, and with their support, I stand tall. I want to make sure I give them something in return, for which I have to work harder so that one day, I can hear them tell me how proud they are of me,” she says.

While she just has one Kannada film in her pocket right now, shooting of which is going on, there is a lot of buzz regarding her lineup of Telugu films. Rumour has it that Rashmika will be working on a project that has Nani and Nagarjuna in it. “As I have always maintained, whichever project I take up, I make sure the production house makes that first announcement, and only that I will talk about it,” she signs off.
