They all had created a place of their own on stage well before and also while flourishing on the silver screen. Some faces are familiar, having made appearances on mini screen and on the big screen too. Hence, when a film centred around the life of a dedicated theatre actor is hitting the screens this Friday, in a befitting way, its makers honoured 60 theatre persons.

It was in connection with the release of Kamal’s latest movie ‘Nadan’ that the yesteryear theatre personalities were honoured at a function held in the city on Wednesday. The programme was inaugurated by Speaker G Karthikeyan.

Senior actor Madhu, BJP state president V Muraleedharan, actor KPAC Lalitha, film directors I V Sasi and T V Chandran and other film personalities, including those who acted in the film, were also present. Along with that, the audio CD release of the movie was held.

The film, produced by K Anilkumar under the banner of Ambalakkara Global Films, has Jayaram in the lead.
