When two conflicting personas are thrown together, there’s bound to have some drama. Add to it some breezy, humourous moments and that’s Vyasan K P’s Ayal Jeevichirippundu starring Vijay Babu and Manikandan in the leads. “It’s basically a road movie celebrating friendship. The characters John Mathew Mathan and Murukan are extreme opposites. Background, class, refinement, physique - there is no match in anything. If John is a literary giant, Murukan is illiterate,” says the director.

The film follows the duo as they set off on a trip after an accidental encounter in Goa. “Though the backdrop is Goa, you will not find any routine frames in the film. We have tried to bring in unexplored terrains rather than canning sun, sand and the sea.” Vyasan says the subject has a universal appeal as the audience can easily relate to the characters and their plight. “It explores a situation when all communication goes haywire,” he says.  While Hareesh Peradi, Thesni Khan and Kishore Sathya are also part of the cast Marathi actress Namrata plays the heroine. “Apart from them, a handful of foreigners also appear in pivotal roles,” Vyasan adds.
