Director K Madesh, should have taken his time to bask in the success of his earlier film Gaja . Because he seems to have gotten carried away with it and taken it to his heart that whatever he does now will be lapped up by the audiences.

But Preethse Preethse is loaded with so many flashbacks that at times Madesh seems to have lost the link himself.

And if Madesh can make the film without a script (because that is how the film has turned out), even Yogeesh’s star image cannot save the day. A scene which could illustrate this point goes thus: The principal of a college accompanies a girl student to the classroom to introduce her to the other students. And he even declares the hero as the winner at a cultural programme. In another scene, the hero gets on top of a water tank to consume poison. Now, if wanted to kill himself couldn’t he find himself some corner where he wouldn’t be attracting all the attention? Oh and he comes running down from the water tank to get to a hospital after having consumed poison. In the next scene we have a completely healthy hero and the heroine dutifully offering prayers to Lord Krishna. Maybe, just maybe, Madesh should have tried some editing.

Among the heroines, Udayatara does manage to steal the show.

Though Pragna tries has tried to flaunt her assets, she has to understand maybe there is something more to acting. Many of her dialogues are revolting. Rangayana Raghu plays three roles.

Jaijagadeesh and Sangeetha provided good support while PN Satya is convincing as a villain.

The story is about Mada (Yogeesh), an orphan in a slum. He was adopted by an affluent couple (Jaijagadeesh and Sangeetha). He joins college and falls in love with Ishwarya (Udayatara) but the latter has other ideas. He even tries to keep beautiful Bipasa (Pragna) at an arm’s length. He comes to know that Ishwaraya is not in love with him and gets depressed. Finally, how Ishwarya realises her mistake and accepts him as his life partner is the climax. Music director Anup Cylin has done a good job with the songs.

It is worth watching only if you are a die-hard fan of Yogeesh alias Loose Mada and do not care for anything else.
