Kollywood’s own trendsetter!

CHENNAI: It looks like Boss Engira Baskaran-fame director Rajesh is all set to create  a trend of sorts in the industry. After roping in his first hero Jiiva for a cameo in his second movie, he has now done it again in his third and latest film, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK).  The film will have actor Arya play a small role. But Arya will not be the only one to be making a guest appearance in the film. Actresses Andrea and Sneha too are to play guest roles in the movie.

“All three come in different scenes and all of them have very small roles,” says Rajesh. According to him, the three actors readily accepted to be part of the movie when he approached them.

The director goes on to reveal that the film is complete, except for a song sequence. “There are five songs in the movie and Harris Jayaraj’s music is the USP of the movie. After a small gap, he has composed music for a love subject, which is his forte,” says Rajesh and adds, “The song Kannaamoochi is the favourite of the crew.” The director also informs that there are plans to release the audio on February 24 and that the movie will be released by the end of March or the beginning of April.

But hasn’t it been a long time since the movie was launched? “Yeah, but we took a lot of time rehearsing for the sequences. Udhyanidhi is making his debut and we shot the movie on a handycam during rehearsals to make him more comfortable during the actual shooting. There were also some delays in shooting due to visa problems. One song has been shot in Jordan and another in Dubai,” says the director.

Rajesh will be directing actor Karthi in his next film.
