After his entertaining Kalakalappu, director Sundar C comes up with yet another romantic comedy. Though it reminds one of films like Hitch (and its Hindi rehash Partner), the director has brought in a couple of twists in the screenplay, and kept his narration fast paced. There is rarely a dull moment, the audience taken through a joyful engaging fun ride.

Sidharth plays his role just right, as Kumar, a nerd working in an IT company. Low on self-esteem, bumbling around the office, he is largely ignored by the girls. The entry of Sanjana, the new girl at the office, sends the guys into frenzy, each trying to gain her attention. And Kumar finds himself smitten by her. But he has to reckon with the office hunk, the cool dude George. Handsome and suave, George knows exactly how to woo a girl. Ganesh Venkatram is apt for the role, a direct contrast to the gawky Kumar.

Glamorous, tastefully attired Hansika is a sight for sore eyes, her bubbly, cheerful nature infectious. The song-dance numbers here would have come as unwanted distractions. But it’s Hansika’s buoyancy and glamour quotient that makes them watchable.

The narration picks up momentum after Kumar hires Mokia, a love guru, to help him win over Sanjana. It’s a knockout performance from Santhanam as the cocky Mokia and expert in his work. Despite the predictability of these scenes, it’s Santhanam’s act that elevates the film to a higher level of entertainment. Mokia’s childhood journey as a date-fixer is interestingly narrated. Delightful is their interplay, and hilarious the schemes, as Mokia gives a complete makeover to Kumar, a slow learner, and turns him into a confident, pleasing guy. The duo’s act would backfire on them later, the director bringing in a couple of interesting twists here. The family of Kumar, his sisters and their respective husbands goading him in his love affair, are a fun loving bunch.

Supporting actors like Bossky and Vidyu Raman play their parts well. Sundar C has struck the right chord. Despite the hiccups on the way, the film high on its humour quotient, is a wholesome delightful experience.
