Krishna Govinda
Based on the characters Krishna and Govinda, the film portrays a story where Lord Krishna comes visiting earth to help his devotee in a modern avatar as a friend. Miss Odisha Kajol Satpathy is playing the female lead in the film that has action, romance and family drama. Apart from Kajol, the other lead characters in the film include Suraj Tripathy, Mantu, Arpan, Debu Bose, Ilu Banerjee, Banku, and Nupur Ghosh. T Ganesh has directed it.
Avishek gets set to make a mark
Avishek will be essaying the lead role in Sanjay Nayak’s Ranga Lagichi Nua Nua and and debutante director Ambika Prasad Das’ Tiger Gang. While Ranga Lagichi Nua Nua stars Bijaya Mohanty, Mahasweta Roy and Budhaditya Mohanty, Tiger Gang has Mihir Das, Samaresh, Sambit and dubutante Jhanshi. Besides, Avishek is also playing the protagonist in bilingual film To Bhitere Mu opposite Pinky Priyadarashani directed by Ranjit Barik and Nimai Ojha.
Dance sequence on Ganesh Puja
Sudhakar Vasanth’s Ganja Ladhei scheduled to hit the theatres during Ganesh Puja will have a dance number based on Ganesh Puja exactly on the lines of Hindi blockbuster Agneepath’s Ganesh track. Starring Sambit and Priyangshi in lead, the other actors in the film are Siddhant, Pintu Nanda, Salil Mitra and Sofia Alam. The director will play a negative lead in this flick for the first time. The choreography for the dance number has been done by Sudhakar Vasanth and his wife Shanti Sudhakar.
Ollywood Star in Jatra
Actors Usasi Mishra and Somesh have joined Odia jatra troupes which still hold sway over a majority of people in the state. Usasi Mishra who had started her career in Odia film Bou directed by Sabyasachi Mohapatra and now enacting the role of mother in a serial in Tarang TV has joined jatra troupe Eastern Blue while Somesh has joined Eastern Red.
