Despite all the controversies from the release of its first poster, Aamir Khan’s PK has finally hit the screens. Director Rajkumar Hirani’s Comedy- family drama has managed to win the hearts of audience on the first day of the release.
The story conveys a message which is very much similar to Paresh Rawal’s Oh My God but yet different as it had some added ‘masala’ as Aamir Khan played the role of an alien.
The story revolves around a remote which was stolen from the alien( Peekay) when he landed on earth. The remote is the only way through which ‘Peekay’ can reach his planet.
In search of his remote ‘Peekay’ starts exploring earth and understanding the people. In this journey, ‘Peekay’ exposes godmen who promise to solve people’s problems by talking to god. Rajkumar Hirani here, is stressing on a very serious issue, the businesses of the so called ‘managers’ of god who claims to be in contact with god.
PK, the most awaited movie of the year which is in news for a while now has managed to make the audience laugh but equally sad as it potrays a true image of our society and people with some false beliefs. The film focuses on how the ‘managers’ of god take advantage of people’s helplessness and cheat them to every possible extent.
Mr perfectionist as usual plays a different and challenging role in the film. With his ‘Bhojpuri’ accent, ‘Pan’ in his mouth and funny behavior in the movie, ‘Peekay’ managed to receive appreciations from audience on the day of the release itself. Actress Anushka sharma has made a great come back after taking a long break. Anuhska is playing a broadcast journalist, Jaggu who is helping an alien( Aamir) who wants to go back to his planet. Actor Sushanth Singh who plays Anushka’s boyfriend has equally done well though he has a small role in the film. Apart from these, Boman Irani and Sanjay Datt has also contributed really well with their funny roles. Ranbir Kapoor too has a guest appearance in the film, playing an alien.
