Hard Work is the Only Formula

You must have first seen him on television in the fifth season of Super Singer that airs on Maa TV alongside singers like Geetha Madhuri – one of the most touted singers in Tollywood. Revanth who started singing in 2008, recently lent his voice for the movie Prema Katha Chitram and Kotha Janta, after working with MM Keeravani.

“Though I started as a background singer, in a few months I started singing solo,” says the 24-year-old who has a well-outlined aim in life. “Helping those in need and becoming a good singer, to bring good name for my family is my ultimate dream,” shares Revanth. He adds that he will continue singing till his last breath.

Born in Srikakulam and brought up in Vishakhapatnam, the budding singer believes that hard work is the only way to move ahead in life. “I have sacrificed a lot since my childhood to achieve the little that I have today. But I have no regrets, nor do I pity myself. I believe that it’s my hard work that has paid off,” he opines.

The singer who made his singing debut with dola dola in the movie Vesavi Selavullo feels MM Keeravani has played a major role in shaping his career. “It is only because of him that I am here today,” he shares and adds that the singing with the veteran has been the turning point not only in his career but also changed him as a person. “I am a fun-loving kind of a person. But after working with Keeravani sir, I’ ve learnt to become more serious, especially when it comes to work, “ Revanth says solemnly.

Popularly called ‘rockstar’, Revanth who has seen the high’s and lows of life says his family has always been his pillar of strength in the difficult times. “I feel I am blessed. I was rejected when I auditioned for the first season of Super Singer. But I never took that as a failure. I then came back in its fifth season and reached the finals,” recalls the singer who has lent his voice for Tollywood biggies like NTR Jr, Allu Arjun, Nagarjuna, Rana Daggubatti among others.

The youngster, however, does not dwell on past achievements and is focussed on his career. Its hard to miss the twinkle in his eye as he shares, “I want to sing for Prabhas, Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu. I would also love to work with Devi Sri Prasad, Ilayaraja, AR Rahman, and Shankar Mahadevan”.
