Unusual Plot With Weak Screenplay

The unusual plot is centred around a restless spirit and a guy who tries to help her realise her aim. The film has a debutant maker at the helm, with freshers and little known faces playing the lead roles. The plot had the potential to turn into an engaging comic-thriller. But a weak screenplay and lack lustre narration turns it into a product neither comical nor thrilling.

The beginning seemed a promising one. The ghost (Eden) that enters software engineer Venkat’s life and apartment, is a friendly one. Suffering from amnesia she was on a search for her identity. Refusing to leave till he helped her in her search of her past and her family, she pesters him with her constant presence. After futile attempt to ward off the spirit in various ways, Venkat (Vivanth) agrees to help her out. Trying to unearth her past he encounters some unpleasant truths. Debutant Vivanth reminds one of actor Jai in the earlier part. It’s only later when Venkat goes in for a total makeover thanks to the ghost’s motivation, that the actor cuts a presentable picture.

Eden as Divya the ghost is adequate in her role. The dialogues are uttered by the characters in the highest decibel tone irrespective of the place or situation they are in - even when it is confidential information shared in a public place. It seems like the director never really could make up his mind whether his film should be a comedy, a thriller or a tragedy, the elements mixed up in a haphazard way.

The debutant maker has tried to strike away from the routine formula format. But it’s again a case of good intentions gone awry.
