Actors Arun Vijay and Rakul Preet Singh inaugurated Chennai’s first 5D theatre at Express Avenue recently. An initiative by PIX 5D Cinema, the theatre will screen special animated movies. Seats that move in synchronisation with on-screen activities is what makes the 5D experience much better than watching a 3D film, explained representatives from the theatre. While Arun Vijay chatted with his good friend Rave Shankar, director of PIX 5D Cinema, Rakul said that she had already experienced such theatres abroad. “I’m happy that Chennai can also experience it now,” she added.
The duration of the movies will range from 12 to 15 minutes and each show will priced at `150.
