Quality over Quantity for Kajal Aggarwal

While Kajal Aggarwal had just two releases in 2014 — Jilla in Tamil and Govindudu Andarivadele, 2015 promises her an array of interesting projects.

She also made a guest appearance in a Telugu film Yevadu. “Govindudu was a blockbuster hit in Telugu and I was doused with compliments for my role. It was my fourth film with Krishna Vamsi and second outing with Ram Charan. 2014 was a great year in terms of bagging good projects. I have Maari with Dhanush and Temper with Junior NTR. Both are nearing completion and I am looking forward to the release of these two films,” says Kajal, who has already figured out her list for 2015.  She adds that since she had an idea about the kind of offers that came her way, in the future, she would be keen on films with substance.

Another big turn for her in the next year is a Bollywood project that has an exciting role in store for her. While she divulges a little about the upcoming role, she sure has all her fans curious as they will get to see her in a completely different avatar.

“As years go by, it is definitely going to be quality over quantity. I have experimented enough and have realised what kind of movie, I should take up and more importantly, what I don’t want to do. Another important film I am looking forward to start shoot in 2015 is a Hindi film, which is yet to be titled. The film will go on floors in February. It is a very intense love story where I play a girl who has a disability, though I cannot mention what kind of disability. It is going to be very challenging and I will start attending a workshop to prepare for the flick in January. A subject with that of an exceptional love story is something I haven’t done anytime before. I am looking forward to be part of it. Apart from Maari and Temper, I am considering two other films in Telugu, which I will be announcing once it gets confirmed,” she says.

Actor Dhanush had a reason to gift Kajal the best selling novel series written by renowned author Conn Iggulden, which according to the actor, was a lovely gift for her.

“I am an avid reader. I like reading a lot of history and fiction. Even Dhanush reads a lot. Even we kept talking about the whole Roman and Greek empire as such on the sets and that’s when the book came as a gift for me from the actor,” she says.
