Yatchan is a friendship between two Purampokkus, according to director Vishnuvardhan, who is close on the heels of wrapping up the post-production works of the film. Yatchan stars Arya, Krishna, Swathi and Deepa Sannidhi in lead roles.
The director is excited that the final output of the film has shaped up well and will be releasing shortly.
Teaming up with his younger brother Krishna for the first time, Vishnuvardhan says, “It’s been my desire for a long time to work together with my brother. Finally, it has happened with Yatchan.”
This is the fifth time Vishnuvardhan is teaming up with Arya, after doing films like Arrambam and Sarvam among others.
Arya and Kreshna play lead roles in Yatchan. “Whenever I am about to complete a project with Arya, he would abruptly come up with an inquisitive statement — ‘When shall we start our next project?’” says Vishnuvardhan with a laugh.
The director adds that both the heroines — Swathi and Deepa Sannidhi — have performed well in the film.
“Yatchan will be a perfect entertainer, based on action, comedy, friendship and romance. It will be somewhere in the zone of Arindhum Ariyaamalum and Pattiyal,” he says.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for the film. The album includes five tracks. More details on audio and theatrical release will be made shortly.
Yatchan is produced by Vishnuvardhan Pictures and UTV Motion Pictures.
Bollywood actor Adil Hussain, popular for his role in Ishqiya and English Vinglish, will make his Tamil debut in the film. Filmmaker and director S J Suryah will also be making a cameo appearance in the film.
