Irate Vishal Goes Out of Control, Nearly Hits Fans Who Gheraoed His Car Outside Sathyam Cinemas

CHENNAI: Vishal Krishna's angry young man routine isn't something that he reserves for films like Thimiru or the obviously titled Paayum Puli. It can come out just about anywhere, any time.

In a display of public rage that could damage his chances when the Nadigar Sangam polls eventually happen, the young actor charged out of his car furious, stopping short of hitting his own fans because his security detail restrained him.

To his credit, it must be said that about 50 of his fans started it when they surrounded his luxury SUV when it exited the iconic Sathyam Cinemas complex in Royapettah.  When he refused to get out and talk to them regarding some of them being terminated from key posts in his fan club, they sat on the road and goaded him into getting out.  It goes without saying that expletives were a good part of the heady mix that led to Vishal's Vijaykant moment. He seemed calm enough as the audio for his film Paayum Puli was launched on Sunday morning.

Video:

It was only when he hit the road,  that the dissent kicked in. After a minute or so of being locked in,  the actor charged out of his car yelling, "What the he'll is your problem.  If someone is quiet will you say whatever you like?" and then glared menacingly at his by-this-point soon to be ex fans, before telling them to "Get lost or else..." The police quickly swooped in and got the actor ensconced in the safety of his car again and quickly cleared the rabble so that he could leave without further ado. The fact that hundreds of movie goers were gleefully watching the drama as they waited to enter the theatre only made matters worse.

Deva, one of the forerunners of the agitation revealed that they had resorted to this because they were pained by Vishal's recent actions. "When he was nothing ten years ago, we stood by him and made him half a star.  Today when he is standing for the Nadigar Sangam elections he has discarded us and put other people in key posts. He doesn't even want to meet us and talk about it. I don't know why he has cheated us like this," he said angrily.

When contacted, Vishals representatives said that this group had been eliminated because they had been causing trouble for a while now. "They have been doing this for a while and that is why he reacted very angrily," he said.
