Memories to be Remade in Tamil

Director Arivazhagan, who impressed with Eeram and Vallinam, is back in the news again. Yes, the director will next be teaming up with actor Arulnithi for the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit film Memories.

Talking to City Express, Arivazhagan, a former assistant director of Shankar said, “I will be working on the Tamil remake of Memories. Actor Arulnithi plays the lead in the film, which will be a crime thriller. As of now, we are finalising the other members of the cast. Music for the film will be by Thaman. We are scheduled to begin shooting for the film by the first week of October.”

The film is being produced by Thenanadal films, which, apart from producing films, is also into releasing them.

Will the plot of the Tamil version be altered to suit the tastes of the Tamil audience? Replies Arivazhagan, “I have two challenges as far as this movie is concerned. The first challenge is to give the same thrills that people enjoyed in my first film Eeram. The second challenge is to retain the soul of the film that has been made by Jeethu Joseph. So, in short, the Tamil version of the film will have my style and the soul of Memories.”
