SHOOTING FOR Kirumi is complete, and the post-production work is on. While the producers are yet to make an official announcement pertaining to audio and theatrical release, actor Kathir of Madha Yaanai Koottam fame, who plays the lead role in the film, says, “Kirumi is not a social-based film and does not deal with virus and natural disasters. It is a realistic film that deals with the life of an ordinary youngster, and how certain incidents change the course of his life.”
Director of the film, Anu Charan, who is a newcomer to the Tamil film industry, says, “We have attempted something new for Kirumi and laced it with drama and a few psychological thrill elements.” Reshmi Menon, who plays the female lead, says, “I was really doubtful whether I would do complete justice to the role. It was challenging and the team encouraged me to take it up. I am elated things have turned out well.” Arul Vincent, a former associate of PC Sriram, has handled cinematography, and music director K has composed songs. The film is produced by K Jayaram, L Prithiv Raj, M Jayaraman and S Rajendran under the banner of JPR Films.
