The rumours seemed to have originated because of a couple of videos that were posted on You Tube that showed the actor hurrying out of the airport, escorted by bouncers, even as a number of people were seen running after him. The incident is believed to have occurred when the actor was on his way to Tiruchendur to attend a function along with actors Kamal Haasan and Hansika Motwani.

However, there was no such attack. Why would anybody attack Siva Karthikeyan? He has not made any negative statements against anybody,” said the source.

The actor himself could not be reached for his comments. While it is unclear if there was an attack at all and if so, who the people involved  in it were and why they chose to attack him, fans took to Twitter to express their support to the actor. The support was so overwhelming that a new hashtag #WeSupportSivaKarthikeyan was created.
