Fans of actor Suriya might know his birthday, his films, awards and his favourite directors. But now many know his favourite subjects in school and in college. Talking to City Express, Suriya said, “I can’t call them favourites exactly but then I wish to thank Jayaram for the love I have for Tamil. Many of us have this habit of being drawn to a thought or an idea or an object when it comes from outside. We would have had the same object at home but we might not take an active interest in it then. Similarly, though I was inspired by my dad for Tamil, it was Jayaram who induced in me a love for the subject. That was one of my preferred subjects. In college, I think I had a special preference for Company Law. I studied B Com in Loyola college and I think I will have to thank Father Selvaraj for inculcating in me a love for that subject.”
