Fans Hail Kamal's Twitter Entry

Bringing a cheer to scores of his fans, actor Kamal Haasan on India’s 67th Republic Day joined the social networking site,Twitter.

CHENNAI:  Bringing a cheer to scores of his fans, actor Kamal Haasan on Tuesday joined the social networking site,Twitter.

The move, which will enable the star to interact directly with his fans, was welcomed with delight by scores across the globe who immediately started following the star on the social networking site through his official Twitter handle @ikamalhaasan. So overwhelming was the response that in a matter of a few hours, over 17,000 people were following him on Twitter. The numbers kept steadily rising.

Kamal’s first tweet, which he posted on the country’s 67th Republic Day, was on India’s freedom struggle and its uniqueness along with a video in which he is seen singing the National Anthem.
