Rajini Murugan (2016), which features Siva Karthikeyan, Keerthy Suresh and Suri in the lead and which hit screens for Pongal has been doing well in theatres. The film, which has been declared a hit, has several funny sequences involving Siva Karthikeyan and Suri. Some of the more impressive sequences take place in a tea shop that the two are shown setting up together.
When asked if he had to undergo training to play the role of a tea stall worker, Sivakarthikeyan said, “We had fun shooting those sequences. Both Suri and I would indulge in friendly fights over who would be the owner of the tea stall and who would be the tea master. I convinced the director to allow me to be the owner and he had to play the tea master. But jokes apart, in real life too, Suri can actually make great tea in exactly the same waysas a professional tea master did. This is because Suri owns a tea stall in Madurai. In fact, the way he prepared tea was so professional that we chose to include all that in the making of the film shots. However, we couldn’t use them unforutnately.”
